Learning Korean with TTMIK

I've been meaning to write this post for a while now, but I've been quite busy!  I'm still busy, but I'm going to use my ten minute break to my advantage.

Mr. Turtle

He's done!  Until I can come up with something suitable(ly adorable), I will call him Mr. Turtle.  Obviously he's already on my banner, but here's him by himself:

Mascot Still In Progress...

I've been working on a cute little mascot to match the title of my blog.  I drew it out by hand using a picture of a cartoon I found online and a picture of an Iron-Clad Turtle ship which I proceeded to cartoon-ify for my mascot.  Then I started painting it on the computer when I thought, 'Maybe I should wait to see if I actually get a placement with EPIK before I continue spending copious amounts of time on this?'  Since my placement is now, essentially, official, I've started working on my mascot again.

I'm Insane

I'm insane.  Seriously.  Am I really going to do this?  I responded to the notification e-mail from EPIK with the address and phone number they requested so that they can send me the contract and NOA.  I've been continuing to slow-poke my way through basic Korean, researching Gangwon-do, and general tips/packing lists/etc. for Korea.

And I've basically just come to the conclusion that I must be insane.  Absolutely crazy.

Is this real life?

I'm perhaps one of the most risk adverse person you could ever meet so I have no idea why I think I can do this.  Maybe it's because I think I can't do it that I've convinced myself I can do it so I'm going to somehow do it even though I still really don't think I can.

That's the best explanation I can come up with so far.

Oh my gosh, I'm seriously crazy.

And I'm only going to have a week at home to pack.  Heck, it might even be working that week too!

I'm so freaking crazy.  Oh my gosh...

Today, at approximately 6:20 AM, I woke up after languishing in bed for a whole 20 minutes after my alarm to an e-mail from EPIK...
